The Record
Dark Star Orchestra's August 13, 2005 performance at Gathering of the Vibes in Mariaville, NY is preserved in this recording.
Dark Star Orchestra's Gathering of the Vibes set brings in guests from several parts of the extended scene: David Nelson, Peter Rowan, Keller Williams and others are assigned to specific songs. “Scarlet Begonias” and “Fire on the Mountain” are one linked passage, with “Eyes of the World” and “Bird Song” another. The source's detailed guest key is the guide to those changing combinations, rather than a claim that everyone appears throughout. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
