The Record

Dream Syndicate's February 12, 1983 performance at Maxwell’s in Hoboken is preserved in this recording.

The Dream Syndicate source names the original lineup: Steve Wynn, Karl Precoda, Kendra Smith and Dennis Duck. The taper describes their first East Coast trip following The Days of Wine and Roses and explains why the recording used microphones rather than the venue's limited soundboard. Dylan, Neil Young and Blue Öyster Cult covers sit beside the band's songs across two sets. Corrupted punctuation in derivative titles is corrected from the printed list. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
