The Record

The Grateful Dead's 46th Street Rock Palace recording includes Jorma Kaukonen, Jack Casady and Papa John Creach across much of the later program, according to the source markers. The first set moves through “China Cat Sunflower”/“I Know You Rider” and a “Cryptical Envelopment”/“The Other One” sequence. Set two folds “La Bamba” into “Good Lovin',” then reaches the guest-marked “John's Other,” “Uncle Sam Blues,” “Ode to Billie Dean” and an extended “Not Fade Away”/“Who Do You Love” path. The remaster notes explicitly leave pitch problems unresolved, especially on “Truckin',” so the expanded lineup is documented alongside a significant source-quality caution.
