The Grateful Dead's April Fool's Day Portland program preserves a separate “April Foolery” entry between “Bird Song” and “Just Like Tom Thumb Blues.” “Bertha” opens into “Greatest Story Ever Told,” while “West L.A. Fadeaway” and “Little Red Rooster” appear before the first-set close of “Looks Like Rain” into “Might as Well.” The second runs “China Cat Sunflower”/“I Know You Rider” into “Estimated Prophet” and “Eyes of the World,” then passes drums and space toward “The Other One” and “Stella Blue.” “Not Fade Away” completes the main set before “It's All Over Now, Baby Blue.” The extra spoken/playful entry helps identify this specific date.
