The Record

The Grateful Dead's February 20 Golden Hall show starts with “Jack Straw” and closes set one by pairing “To Lay Me Down” with “Let It Grow.” “Franklin's Tower” opens the second set before “Samson and Delilah” and “Big Railroad Blues.” From “Playing in the Band,” the sequence moves through drums and space to “Truckin'” and “Black Peter,” finishing on “One More Saturday Night.” “It's All Over Now, Baby Blue” is the encore. The chosen audience transfer includes a short repair at the opening of “Big Railroad Blues,” a detail that separates this edition from a wholly single-source master.
