The Record
Hampton's March 20, 1986 Grateful Dead show places “Box of Rain” at the end of a first set that begins with “Touch of Grey.” Between them are “Friend of the Devil,” “Althea” and the “Me and My Uncle”/“Mexicali Blues” pairing. The second set moves from “Iko Iko” into “Estimated Prophet” and “Eyes of the World,” then passes through drums and space toward “Wharf Rat.” “Throwing Stones” and “Not Fade Away” finish that arc before the “U.S. Blues” encore.
