The Record

The Grateful Dead's January 10 Nassau set gives “Dark Star” a prominent second-set placement after “Shakedown Street” and the “I Need a Miracle”/“Bertha”/“Good Lovin'” run. Drums and space then lead into “Wharf Rat” and “Saint Stephen,” with “Around and Around” closing and “Johnny B. Goode” following as the encore. The first set starts “Promised Land,” includes “Stagger Lee,” “Passenger” and “Loser,” and finishes with “The Music Never Stopped.” Separate tuning entries preserve the start of each set.
