The Record
Grateful Dead's December 26, 1980 performance at Oakland Auditorium Arena in Oakland, CA is preserved in this recording.
“Lost Sailor,” “Saint of Circumstance” and “Deal” complete the first set, while the second opens with “Scarlet Begonias” and “Fire on the Mountain.” A separately listed Spanish Jam tease precedes “Playing in the Band.” The notes credit Joani Walker's recording and describe the second set as continuous across its file divisions. “U.S. Blues” supplies the encore, after the run through “Black Peter” and “Good Lovin'.” The source recording and release notes document this edition.
