The Record
Grateful Dead's June 4, 1977 performance at The Forum in Inglewood, CA is preserved in this recording.
The Forum transfer notes disclose tape flips after “Eyes of the World” and near the end of “Franklin's Tower,” with no alternate patch available to the archivist. The first-set tape was paused between songs, and no crossfades were added. “Playing in the Band” returns after the late “China Doll” and “Not Fade Away” sequence. Those tape practices remain visible instead of describing the package as an uninterrupted master. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
