Grateful Dead's May 3, 1977 performance at The Palladium in New York, NY is preserved in this recording.
The Glassberg master cassettes ran slow, and the transfer notes describe comparing other sources before choosing the Moore recording for patches and pitch reference. “Row Jimmy” and “Around and Around” carry tape-flip repairs. “Uncle John's Band” closes the encore. That detailed speed and patch history distinguishes this Palladium edition, while keeping the archivist's chosen pitch reference separate from an independently measured verification of the complete audio. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
