The Record

Grateful Dead's June 17, 1975 performance at Winterland Arena in San Francisco, CA is preserved in this recording.

“Crazy Fingers” follows Bill Graham's introduction, and the later “Help on the Way,” “Slipknot!” and “Franklin's Tower” sequence makes this a distinctive Winterland document. “Blues for Allah” remains a combined file rather than an invented series of separate songs. The source describes a Sony microphone-and-cassette recording with subsequent pitch correction and equalization; those processing steps belong to this transfer's history. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
