The Record
Mogwai's Grünspan set places “Friend of the Night,” “Travel Is Dangerous” and “Acid Food” among “Hunted by a Freak,” “You Don't Know Jesus” and “Kids Will Be Skeletons.” The first disc reaches “Mogwai Fear Satan” before “Glasgow Mega-Snake,” making the latter a set closer rather than the end of the entire evening. The encore is preserved on a second disc as “Ithica 27o9” and “We're No Here.” This Hamburg recording therefore offers a clear view of the program's two-part construction, with its longer main set and short return documented by the taper's track layout.
