The Record
The Mountain Goats' Bottom of the Hill program combines “Jenny,” “The Recognition Scene” and “Nine Black Poppies” with “Tallahassee” and “No Children.” The San Francisco set also includes “Riches and Wonders,” “The Mess Inside,” “Source Decay” and “Twin Human Highway Flares,” reaching “The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton” near the close. “My Favorite Things” and the final “The Sign” widen the written program beyond one release's tracklist. Its twenty-three files preserve an opening introduction and the named sequence, while the transfer notes identify additional processing that distinguishes this edition from a straight DAT capture.
