The Record

The Mountain Goats’ Bottom of the Hill recording preserves a first attempt at ‘Get Lonely’ and a later return to the song within the same set. ‘Wild Sage,’ ‘You or Your Memory’ and ‘Half Dead’ begin the June 13, 2006 sequence; ‘No Children,’ ‘Dance Music’ and ‘Your Belgian Things’ appear in its middle. Toward the end, ‘Houseguest’ and ‘Whole Wide World’ lead into a separately indexed ‘Merch Adlib’ before ‘California Song.’
