The Record
Phil Lesh and Friends's February 4, 2008 performance at The Warfield in San Francisco, CA USA is preserved in this recording.
This event was billed as Deadheads for Obama, with Bob Weir and Mickey Hart alongside Phil Lesh and Friends. An acoustic middle set separates the electric passages, and “Phil's Campaign Speech” remains part of the recorded evening. Mark Karan and Barry Sless join selected songs. The taper reports losing the first five or six seconds of the second set while reaching the recorder; the political occasion does not erase that gap. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
