The Record
Umphreys McGee's August 7, 2004 performance at Skyline Stage at Navy Pier in Chicago, IL is preserved in this recording.
Jake Cinninger, Brendan Bayliss and Ryan Stasik use acoustic instruments throughout the first set, with Eliot Peck joining “Bullhead City” on vocals. Later sets include a first performance of Talking Heads' “Making Flippy Floppy,” carrying a No Doubt tease. The source distinguishes the opening duo “Mediterranean Sundance” from the broader acoustic configuration. Those changing arrangements are essential context for the Skyline Stage show's three-set program. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
