The Record
Umphreys McGee's December 31, 2005 performance at The Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, IL is preserved in this recording.
Keller Williams opens the evening and joins Umphrey's McGee for selected songs, while a horn section and Paris Delane contribute to the funk medley. Its cover sequence includes Parliament-Funkadelic, Prince and INXS material. The source also documents Jake Cinninger switching to drums and Kris Myers singing on “Just a Gigolo.” Those personnel changes and the midnight material make this Aragon New Year's Eve recording unusually specific. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
